Hall resigns as Lady Dragon head coach

Last Friday, Collierville High School announced that Anthony Hall has resigned as the head coach of the girls’ basketball team. 

Hall, who held the position since the 2016-17 season, had a 68-53 overall record.

Last season, the Lady Dragons finished 20-10, the team’s best season since 2002. 

Hall is expected to join the men’s basketball staff at Southwest Tennessee Community College.

“We are certainly disappointed to lose a coach of Anthony Hall’s caliber, but we are excited for him to return to the college game, “ said Collierville Schools Director of Athletics Jeff Curtis. “This is a great opportunity for him and I wish him the best.”

Prior to his tenure coaching at Collierville High School, Hall was the head men’s basketball coach at Fontbonne University and Avila University.

Hall excelled as a basketball player at Utica, Miss. Junior College and Southeast Missouri State University.Collierville High School will begin a search for a new head girls’ basketball coach immediately.
