In 1998, Derek was hired to work for the Town as a Purchasing Agent. During his tenure in this role, he spearheaded a multitude of pivotal construction projects, from Firehouse renovations to the construction of Collierville Town Hall. As he moved on to become the General Services Manager and presently Director of General Services, he led transformative projects such as the University of Memphis Campus construction and the restoration of the Historic High School, preserving the town’s heritage for future generations.
