Dragons fall to MHEA | Collierville Independent

The Collierville High School boys’ basketball team was one point shy of picking up its third victory of the season Friday night against Memphis-Area Home Education Association. The

Dragons fell 79-78 in overtime to the 4-3 MHEA Eagles. After falling behind 40-33 at the half, Collierville rallied in the third quarter, outscoring the Eagles 17-9. The Dragons were led by K.J. Carrothers, who scored 21 points.

With a 1-point lead going into the fourth quarter, the Dragons continued to score but were matched point-for-point by MHEA. With the score knotted 69-69, the game went into overtime, where the Eagles eventually prevailed.

Friday’s loss gives the Dragons, who play at Ridgeway Friday night, a 2-4 record on the season.
