Check Presentation

On Aug. 27, Main Street Collierville presented a check for $5,000 to Charles Hall, the Worshipful Master of the Collierville Masonic Lodge. The Collierville Masonic Lodge was chartered in 1848 and has been meeting at the same location on the Collierville Square since the late 1800’s. The lodge’s façade was recently updated and a new roof was put on. There are also renovations in progress in the interior. Main Street Collierville applied for and received the grant from Shelby County for the purpose of supporting the improvement of the aging façades in Collierville’s Historic District. Main Street Collierville chose the Masonic Lodge as the recipient of these funds due to the extensive improvements that the Masonic Lodge made to the property. Main Street Collierville is a non-profit organization located on Town Square. Its mission is to promote and inspire a vibrant Main Street District that benefits Collierville residents and visitors. Enhancing the physical elements of the downtown area is part of the approach that Main Street Collierville uses to preserve and support the Town Square area.
