Board approves final site plan for 5-acre mixed use development | Collierville Independent

The Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen has approved the final site plan for a mixed use development at the corner of Schilling Blvd. and Winchester.

Board members approved The Carrington apartments and commercial space 4-1 Monday night during their first meeting of 2013.

Alderman Billy Patton voted against the 5-acre development, which will include six free-standing buildings for up to 112 multifamily units and 2,500 square feet of commercial space.

The preliminary site plan for the development was approved last April.

The development is located between The Madison apartments on the north and east and single family residential to the south.

In other news:

nAlderman Maureen Fraser was elected vice-mayor. The term is for one year.

nBoard members approved a $41,500 contract with Steele Beard LLC for the installtion of electric lights at Estanaula Park at 1336 Byhalia Road.

Memphis Light, Gas and Water has already supplied power to the park for $8,209.

nBoard members agreed to pay $152,755 for eight pick-up trucks for the town’s Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments.
