A 46-lot residential subdivision is being planned on more than 20 acres at the northeast corner of E. Shelby Drive and Fleming Road.
The Collierville Planning Commission was scheduled to vote on the preliminary subdivision plat for Lenox Gardens on Thursday night during its monthly meeting.
The development was originally called The Arches and was approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 2017. However, it was amended last year to include fewer lots.
The first two phases of the project will have three lot types ranging from a minimum size of 6,000 to 7,200 square feet.
There are 6.5 acres of open space for natural areas, trails, sidewalks, private streets, alleys and landscaping. Nearly 300 new mitigation trees will be planted to achieve 14 trees per acre.
Fleming Road will be widened and sidewalks will be improved.
Southern Security Federal Credit Union has requested approval of a preliminary site plan for a 19,824-square-foot commercial building and a conditional use permit for a coffee shop at the northeast corner of the intersection of Southern Home and S. Byhalia roads, north of E. Shelby Drive.
The credit union will also provide a “coffee service,” which requires a conditional use permit.
The project will include 70 parking spaces. The applicant is Architecture Inc. of Memphis.
The owner is Dawn Graeter of Collierville.
The credit union is a member-owned financial cooperative providing banking services including savings, loans, and other financial services to members.
There are currently locations near Wolfchase Galleria, Horn Lake, Miss., Memphis, and on W. Poplar Ave. in Collierville.
