Collierville Schools resumed on Aug. 17 with several new safety measures in place.
Students and staff members wore masks and remained six feet apart.
The start date was delayed one week.
Initially, Collierville Schools opted to avoid in-class education five days a week, instead favoring the Virtual Academy or a hybrid learning “two-day rotation blended learning.”
However, public outcry for a more traditional model helped sway the district.
“In response to both your feedback and the most recent directive of the Board of Education, we are proud to present the latest revision to our Pathway to Reopening and Recovery Plan,” Superintendent Gary Lilly said earlier this month.
Remote learning is still a contingency plan if needed.
