Robert Wayne (Stub) Stubblefield, died at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in Hernando, MS at the age of 89.

Bobby is survived by his wife Jean and his children, Sharon Stubblefield of Collierville TN; John Robert Stubblefield(Diane) of Fanning Springs, Florida; Charlotte Nugent(Jim) of Hernando; Lisa McNabb of Destin, Florida; Karan Burns(Glenn) of Senatobia, MS; Laurie Goldman of Olive Branch, MS; Chuck Stubblefield(Tracy) of Hernando, MS; and Keri Welch of Memphis TN; and his brother Charles Ray Stubblefield(June) of Warrior, Alabama and his sister-in-law Eunice Stubblefield of Montgomery, Alabama.  He leaves 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie James and Elsie Lee Stubblefield, his brother, James Earl Stubblefield and his son, Michael Wayne Stubblefield.

Bobby was born on Oct. 7, 1930 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Jessie James and Elsie Lee Stubblefield. After finishing high school, he joined the Navy where he learned construction work. After leaving the Navy, he continued his education and went to work for Shelby Electric Company where he worked for 34 years as a Master Electrician. He started Stubblefield Electric Company and worked as an electrician wiring cotton gins and river boats until he retired. He married Jean Holliman in 1972. They had 9 children. His children remember him as a father who loved his family unconditionally.

Bobby was an accomplished beekeeper and gardener and loved building things. He always had a huge garden and loved sharing the fruits of his labors with others. Bobby went out of his way to help others either doing volunteer electric work, helping Katrina victims or others in need of help.  He was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 29 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Senatobia. The Interment was at Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater. Bishop Jason Brady officiated the ceremony. The family wishes to express our thanks to loving caregivers at Spring Valley Hospice.
