The Collierville School District has named Roger Jones III the new principal of Collierville Middle School, effective July 1.
Jones is currently the vice principal of Arlington High School.
Collierville Schools Superintendent John Aitken called Jones an “outstanding leader and person.”
“He is knowledgeable regarding academic instruction and school administration and works to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, teachers and the community,” Aitken said.
In addition to serving at Arlington, Jones has worked in a variety of roles in Shelby County Schools. He previously taught at Schilling Farms and was assistant principal at Collierville Middle.
A graduate of the University of Memphis, Jones received a BS in education human development and learning with a concentration in elementary education.
In 2011, he received a Master of Science in Leadership and Policy Studies, School administration and Supervision.
