The Collierville Dragons got back to work Friday night on the road against Gallatin. They picked up a 20-19 win and are now 1-1 on the season.
Junior quarterback Ethan Pettigrew paced the Dragons with 133 passing yards and one touchdown.
However, it was the dual ground threat of Dylan Powell and Troy Martin that drove Collierville’s offense.
The senior and junior running backs combined for 194 yards on 26 carries and added a touchdown.
Scottie Alexander Jr. led the team with six catches and 100 yards.
On defense, linebacker Ethan Hassler had seven tackles and defensive back Harrison Craig snagged two interceptions.
The Dragons will host ECS (3-1) this Friday at 7 p.m. The Eagles are coming off of a 40-12 win over Northpoint Christian.
