Dale T. Griffin, age 93, passed away on February 20th at the home of her daughter surrounded by her husband and family. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. She was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church and the Friends Sunday School class. She retired from Holiday Inn as a secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Lyla Turner and brothers, Park, Floyd, Lamar, Winfred, Ray and one sister, Daphna. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 74 years Elbert Lael Griffin, and her son, Steve (Kerry) of North Carolina and her daughter Kathy (Ed) of Collierville. She leaves 3 grandchildren, Kelly (Daniel) of Olive Branch, Kevin (Maddie), and Kristen (Jeff) of Memphis and four great grandchildren, Raina, Eden, River, and Sierra Jo.
Due to the pandemic, there will be a family graveside service, March 6th at 1:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Her family will always remember her as kind, gentle and loving. Even though she struggled with dementia in her last years she remained kind and cooperative until her last days.
