Collierville non-profit aids family stricken with loss | Collierville Independent

A Hernando, Miss. woman and her family are recovering from the devastating loss of her beloved husband and father of two children.

On May 6, Rusty Alexander was killed in a car accident, leaving behind his wife, Stacy, and their two small children.

The youngest of the two children has a rare medical condition. This young family has a long road ahead of them that will require much assistance; financially and emotionally as they work through their grief and recover from this tragedy.

When local non-profit, My Town Miracles, based in Collierville, heard of this tragic event affecting the lives of this young family, there was an immediate call to action.

My Town Miracles President Noel Fenderson immediately contacted his Governing Board of Directors and began making plans to come to the aid of this grieving family.

When asked why My Town Miracles was interested in getting involved and supporting this family in wake of this tragic event, Fenderson replied, “God placed this on our heart that we need to show compassion to this family during their time of need.”

And the Alexander family’s need is great.

The scope of My Town Miracles’ support for this family will be covering both the mortgage and car payments for the next six (6) months. Additionally, My Town

Miracles will be walking alongside this family’s journey of recovery.

Serving the needs of the Greater Memphis Area, My Town Miracles is about “Bringing Hope. Touching Lives.” Outreach to this family and raising support is exactly what My Town Miracles is all about.

To facilitate raising awareness and the much needed financial assistance that Stacy Alexander and her family will require in order to move forward, My Town Miracles is seeking support from the Mid-South. For those who would like to offer their direct support to the Alexander Family can go to “Helping The Alexanders” gofundme account online at gofundme.com/2358nhtj.

My Town Miracles is a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit Organization. The Mission Statement of My Town Miracles is to “Be the Miracle that brings lasting change.”
