Durham School Services workers spent much of the weekend removing ‘Shelby County Schools’ from buses used by the new municipal school systems. The black letters were replaced with stickers that read ‘Durham School Services.’ Workers were brought in from Arkansas to help peel the stickers and repair seats before opening day of the school season. ABOVE: Rebecca Edley uses a blow torch to heat the stickers so they can be removed.
