Residential subdivision planned on Shelby Drive, credit union to open on S. Byhalia

A 46-lot residential subdivision is being planned on more than 20 acres at the northeast corner of E. Shelby Drive and Fleming Road.

The Collierville Planning Commission was scheduled to vote on the preliminary subdivision plat for Lenox Gardens on Thursday night during its monthly meeting.

The development was originally called The Arches and was approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 2017. However, it was amended last year to include fewer lots.

The first two phases of the project will have three lot types ranging from a minimum size of 6,000 to 7,200 square feet.

There are 6.5 acres of open space for natural areas, trails, sidewalks, private streets, alleys and landscaping. Nearly 300 new mitigation trees will be planted to achieve 14 trees per acre.

Fleming Road will be widened and sidewalks will be improved.
