OneVoice, a local A cappella ensemble from Briarcrest Christian, has been invited to perform as the opening act for Grammy Award winning group The Swingles next January at the London A Cappella Festival.

This marks the first time that any high school in the world has been given the opportunity.

In addition to their performance, OneVoice will present a full concert for the LACF youth program Take The Stage.

They will perform in Hall One, the main concert hall at Kings Place, which is the first new concert hall in Central London since the Barbican opened in 1982.

They won the Macy’s All-School A Cappella Challenge judged by No. 1 Billboard artists Pentatonix. They were seen by more than 20 million people on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

Their albums “Drive All Night” and “Starry Eyed” were chosen as Recorded A Cappella Review Board “Picks of the Year.” Both albums also won Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards for Best High School Solo and Best High School Album.

Celebrating its eighth year, the London A Cappella Festival has become an industry leader in the burgeoning A cappella scene in the UK and beyond.

The festival, curated by five-time Grammy-winning vocal group The Swingles welcomes the top vocal talent of the a cappella world in a star-studded line-up of international headliners and offers audience members a world-class opportunity to get immersed in all things vocal.

The festival has enjoyed unprecedented success since its inception in 2009, running annually with sell-out performances, talks, showcases and workshops. With over 5,000 visitors each year, the festival is now a staple on the A cappella calendar and has grown to become one of the country’s most eagerly awaited celebrations of vocal talent.
