These non-voting work sessions are informal. Their purpose is for a group of appointed local development professionals to discuss potential revisions to mainly two areas of the subdivision regulations: the subdivision processes and infrastructure planning/phasing. Through three separate meetings, the focus group will review discuss the following:

1. Should the Town provide for a “Future Development Tract” option in the Subdivision Regulations for situations when future development (and infrastructure) within a subdivision is uncertain?

2. Should the Town define the term “Parent Parcel” and require that it be addressed with any subdivision (major or minor) of land?

3. Is it appropriate to synchronize the “Preliminary Plat” with the “Subdivision Infrastructure Construction Plan” and Development Agreement process to insure proper infrastructure planning and phasing?

4. What is the role of the Sketch Plat and when should it be required?

5. Any other items that need to be addressed.

The work of the focus group would conclude at the Thursday, August 1, 2013, regular Planning Commission meeting, at which the PC will be asked to formally consider PC Resolution 2013-01 as developed by the focus group.
