Valedictorian
Muhammad Ali Elahi
Ali has been recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction, graduating with 15 AP and 12 Honors courses.
During his senior year, he served as the president of Houston’s Model UN Club and HOSA. Ali has also been the captain of the schools bio-medical debate team for two years and has placed at the national, state, and regional level.
He won Best Delegate in Model UN and first place at the UT Martin Science Bowl.
Ali was invited to serve as the only high school student on the Memphis Interfaith Board of Directors, an organization uniting the people of Memphis behind causes such as improving healthcare. Ali, the only high school student on the board, helped organize the 2015 Memphis Interfaith Dinner.
He has planned, organized and implemented school service projects including Walk for Juvenile Diabetes, Walk for the American Cancer Society, and a dodgeball tournament benefiting Leukemia and Lymphoma research.
He works at Bridge Builders, helping create tangible social changes through empowering youth in the Memphis community.
Additionally, he works with a Muslim youth group, 901 Ummah, to inspire and empower youth around Memphis.. Ali treasures the time he has had at Houston. and credits his success to the people around him.

Rahul Ajmera
Ajmera is a symbol of the excellence Houston prides itself on.
Rahul’s pursuits and successes are of all varieties: academics, athletics and activities. Alongside his incredible test scores, he has received four gold medals on the National Spanish Exam.
As a runner, Rahul competed as a member of the varsity cross country and track teams. Rahul truly shines through his extracurriculars.
He is a council member of the Houston High Honors Academy and vice president of the American Chemistry Society at Houston High; including leadership roles in STEM and Mu Alpha Theta. Rahul is also a tutor for the 30 and Above Club and worked for Mathnasium. With such a wide range of responsibilities and interests, Rahul strived to make time for his true passion: the STEM field.
Through the school, Rahul participates in both the national CyberPatriot competition and the TEAMS Engineering competition.
However, Rahul’s most awarding experience was creating a website and iPhone application with his friends. It immersed him into the development community and taught him crucial lessons in leadership, organization, and time-management.
With his drive to hone these skills as well as others, he garners the respect of his peers. Rahul exhibits not only the commitment but also the attitude necessary for further success.
