Collierville Christmas Parade

Thousands braved windy conditions Friday night to get in the holiday spirit at the 2019 Collierville Christmas Parade.

Byhalia Road was lined with spectators eager to listen to holiday songs and wave to Santa Claus during the 43rd annual parade.

The parade featured dozens of floats and performances by local marching bands from Cordova High School and Snowden Middle School, among others.

John Green was this year’s Grand Marshal and he drove a red convertible with his wife and grandchildren.

Next up is the annual Christmas Home Tour, which will be Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hosted by the Contemporary Club, the Home Tour has generated more than $130,000 since 2009.

The majority of the money has gone to 13 non-profit organizations in Collierville.
