The 2013 Collierville Christmas Parade scheduled for Friday, December 6, has
been CANCELLED due to the forecast of severe winter weather conditions.
There will NOT be a make‐up date. This is the first time in the 37 year history of the parade that it has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen met this morning and received an update from Town staff concerning the weather forecast, parade vendor concerns and general public safety issues.
Taking all into consideration the BMA decided unanimously to CANCEL the parade.
With severe weather conditions in the forecast, the Town of Collierville is prepared to respond should severe weather conditions materialize.
For example, vehicles and heavy equipment are stocked and fueled, snowplows and road clearing equipment are assembled
