• The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute’s 250th commencement exercises on December 11-12. Kelsey Cannon of Germantown received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Jed Pruett of Germantown received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.

• Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade-point-average for first semester 2015-2016 have been named to the dean’s list recognizing academic performance. They include

Kevin Dee and Charlotte Herzog, both of Germantown.

• Members of The Citadel South Carolina Corps of Cadets earned top honors in the fall 2015 semester. Collins Langley of Germantown was recognized for outstanding academic achievement and earned Dean’s List recognition for the fall 2015 semester. Langley was also awarded Gold Stars by The Citadel for earning a grade-point ratio of 3.7 or higher during the 2015 fall semester.

• Kianna Wong of Germantown has achieved a place on the University of Evansville Dean’s List for academic achievements during the Fall Semester 2015. Wong is majoring in Exercise Science. Hannah Bengtson of Collierville has achieved a place on the University of Evansville Dean’s List for academic achievements during the Fall Semester 2015. She is majoring in Accounting.

• Jacob Criswell of Cordova has received the Midwest Achievement Award and Residence Life Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2016-2017 academic year. Criswell is the son of Richard and Anita Criswell of Cordova and will be a 2016 graduate of Harding Academy.

• Samford University releases Dean’s Lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester. Rachel E. Harvey, Sydney E. Berry and Cameron J. Dobbins, all from Cordova, and Maryl A. Bennett, Mary C. Toler and Meade H. Kendrick IV, all of Germantown, were named to the Dean’s List.

• The President’s List and Dean’s List for the Fall 2015 semester at Northwest Mississippi Community College have been released by college officials. Jennifer Moore of Cordova was named to the Dean’s List. Jacqueline Adams and Khalid Koubaiti, both of Cordova, and Andy Tolmaci of Germantown, were named to the President’s List.

• More than 1,300 students were included on the Harding University Dean’s List for grades achieved during the fall 2015 semester. They include: Logan Buchanan of Collierville, a biology major; Kelsey Buynar of Collierville, a early childhood education major; Victoria Dufour of Collierville, a communication sciences and disorders major; Emily Haynes of Collierville, a cognitive neuroscience major; Ashleigh Mangrum of Collierville, a undeclared major; John Frizzell of Cordova, a history major; Shelby Griffith of Cordova, a English major; Tyler Huss of Germantown, a social work major; Ryan Merritt of Cordova, a biochemistry major; Taylor Pettie of Germantown, a early childhood education major; Lauren Pryor of Germantown, a fashion merchandising major; Megan Seward of Cordova; a child life major.

• The following students achieved the Dean’s List at Belmont University for the Fall 2015 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C. Collierville students include: Alaina Brommer, Alex Church, Dustin Conway, Chloe Haskett, Candace Hearn, Allison Herdzina, Nancy Le, Paxson Ogletree, Margaret Shaul, Sofia Tosches and LeAndrea Wallace. Germantown students include: Kathleen Albritton, Miranda Arstikaitis, Ashley Barnett, Sydney Bolen, Madeline Marconi and Maria Marconi.

• Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. has named Kevin Krause of Germantown to its Dean’s List for academic excellence during the fall 2015 semester. Dean’s List honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester.

• Natalie Miller of Collierville achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average at Hofstra University during the Fall 2015 semester, earning a spot on the Provost’s List.

• More than 3,500 Baylor University students were named to the Dean’s Academic Honor Roll for the 2015 fall semester. Collierville students include: Kathleen Marie Golightly, Louise Herrington School of Nursing; Joshua Robert Klesges, Hankamer School of Business; Kara Elizabeth Miller, Hankamer School of Business; Hakyung Shin, Hankamer School of Business.

• The University of Wisconsin-Madison has announced that Collierville’s Maya Hubbard, School of Pharmacy, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2015-2016 academic year.
