The Collierville Lady Dragons fell 53-46 to Craigmont Tuesday in the third round of the Dragon Fire Invitational. Lauren Taylor scored 10 points for Collierville, which is now 10-7 on the season.
Down 24-22 at the half, Collierville pulled within a point in the third quarter until Craigmont used a 15-9 run to put the game away.
Just two days after a convincing 64-39 over Millington Central, the Collierville Lady Dragons lost a 48-43 heartbreaker Monday against Whitehaven in the second round of the tournament.
Down 21-10 in the first quarter Monday night, Collierville used a 25-13 run in the next two quarters to take a 35-34 lead going into the fourth quarter. However, Whitehaven outscored Collierville 14-8 in the final frame behind the hot hand of Alexus Williams.
The Lady Dragons were paced by Kyra Pryor’s 15 points. Lauren Taylor, who led all scorers against Millington on Saturday, added 9 points.
