Restaurant Week will offer fine dining at a fixed price | Collierville Independent

Those looking to partake in a fine dining experience at an affordable price are in luck.

From March 4 through March 8, diners can enjoy three-course menus at a fixed price during the third annual Restaurant Week at Carriage Crossing.

The meals include an appetizer, two entrées and dessert from the following lineup of Carriage Crossing restaurants: Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Frida’s Restaurante Mexicano, Hickory Tavern and STIX.

“The fixed price menu gives people the opportunity to check out restaurants at a lower price point and allows the restaurants to gauge interest in new menu items,” said Susan Eads, general manager of Carriage Crossing.

This year, participants can look for shopper rewards and a chance to win one of six $50 gift cards from the fine dining restaurants.

Carriage Crossing is also partnering with the Mid-South Food Bank for the Kids KAN canned food drive on March 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The MSFB truck will be located across from Milano’s, and participants can drop off nonperishable canned goods such as tuna, canned meat, peanut butter, canned fruits and 100 percent fruit juices.

KIDS KAN runs from Feb. 19 through March 30 and is an annual food donation drive collected by more than 100 schools across Shelby County.

Mid-South Food Bank presents a $25 Kroger gift card to each school’s classroom that collected the most donations, and a trophy at Kids Kan conclusion is awarded to both the elementary school and middle school that collects the most donations out of every participating school.

“This is the first time we’ve partnered with a non-profit for this event,” said Amanda Bolton, marketing coordinator for Carriage Crossing. “It coincides with the element of food and giving back.”

The drive helps those struggling with food insecurity in Mid-South Food Bank’s 31-county service area in west Tennessee, north Mississippi and east Arkansas.

“We hope diners will join us in the fight against hunger by donating to the food drive when they visit us for Restaurant Week,” said Eads.

Donations will be distributed to local participating agencies and help local participating schools in the Kids KAN food drive. The first 50 donors to drop off five canned goods will receive a free appetizer card to STIX restaurant.

“Our restaurants look forward to this event twice a year (there is another Restaurant Week in the Fall),” Bolton said. “And it is growing every year.”

While Restaurant Week has primarily been adopted by the fine dining establishments, other shops and eateries within Carriage Crossing are likely to get in on the action.

“All of the fine dining restaurants are participating,” Bolton said. “But other stores will also offer special promotions throughout the week.”
