Pet hospital seeks expansion on Rowlett

A veterinarian clinic and pet boarding facility on S. Rowlett is expected to expand.
Next week, the town’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen will vote on a rezoning request for 2.1 acres just east of The Pet Hospitals-Collierville at southeast corner of S. Byhalia Road and Rowlett.
The current facility would be expanded by 13,198 square feet. It is currently 12,372 square feet.
Before construction can begin, the property must be rezoned from “general industrial” to “general commercial.”
The existing Zellner’s Automotive building would be demolished to make way for the expansion.
The Pet Hospitals, which offers a clinic and surgery center, overnight boarding, canine daycare and grooming, would see its boarding capacity increase to 150.
Zellner’s Automotive would be relocated to the east of the expansion and retain frontage on Rowlett. The Pet Hospitals will continue to use the existing driveway connection to both Byhalia and Rowlett.
The Pet Hospitals has seven locations in Shelby County, including Germantown and Cordova.
