Passing the Gavel

The Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Business of the Year Luncheon on Jan. 19 at Ridgeway Country Club.

The Small Business, Large Business and Non-Profit of the Year were selected by SCORE Memphis and celebrate “outstanding businesses and their impact to both the Germantown area economy and community. Another highlight of the event was the Passing of the Gavel Ceremony.

This year, Gary Yenser of Speedpro Memphis East handed the gavel to Jake Adams of First Horizon Bank. The Small Business of the Year was awarded to Alex Ginsburg PHOTO graphics and the Large Business of the Year went to OrthoSouth.

The Non-Profit of the Year was Memphis Oral School for the Deaf. The event sponsors included; Small Business – Memphis Light, Gas & Water (MLGW), Large Business – Eye Specialty Group, Non-Profit – Fidelity Investments, and Ambassador of the Year – Tom Shelley with Edward Jones.
