On Dec. 2, at approximately 2:28 a.m., the Collierville Police Department responded to the area of Highway 385 near mile markers 9.4 and 9.6 on a traffic crash call.
Responding officers located a heavily damaged gray 2015 Ford Mustang off the roadway on the eastbound side of Highway 385.
Upon further investigation, officers observed the passenger side door of the vehicle open, with no occupants inside.
A search of the area was unsuccessful. The vehicle was found to be registered to Kevin Mercado of Collierville.
Mercado has not been seen or heard from since the date of the crash and is believed to be missing as a result.
