Martin Nelson Crook, Jr.

Martin Nelson Crook, Jr., of Hixson, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Nelson retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with the US Army with over 28 years of service and then retired from the IRS with over 36 years.  He was a loving, caring and supportive individual who “Was a Worry Wart about Everything”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Flora Crook. 

Nelson is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynne Waddell Crook; sons, David (Cheri), Jonathan (Laura) and Kevin; grandchildren, Noah, Sydney, Valyn, and Margot; sister, Gail Neal; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 12 pm (noon) to 1 pm on Tuesday, November 29, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Services for Nelson will follow at 1 pm on Tuesday, at the North Chapel.  Burial will be private in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors at a later date.
