The Houston Lady Mustangs beat Southwind 75-60 Tuesday night to win the Dist. 15-AAA tournament.
Houston had a 38-32 lead at halftime and used a 21-15 run in the third quarter to maintain momentum.
Junior Jayla Hemingway paced Houston with 29 points, including three 3-pointers, and 13 rebounds. Destinee Wells added 24 points.
The Lady Mustangs finished district 10-0 and are scheduled to host White Station at 6 p.m. on Friday night in the quarterfinal round of the Region 8-AAA tournament.
