Epiphany Lutheran hosts Bluff City Woodwind Quintet’s “Winter Wonderland of Winds”

Epiphany Lutheran Church will host the University of Memphis’ graduate woodwind ensemble, the Bluff City Woodwind Quintet, to perform "A Winter Wonderland of Winds," a free concert featuring music of the Christmas season, tonight at 7 in the Agape Chapel at St. George Independent School, 1880 Wolf River Blvd.

All are invited to attend this unique woodwind concert, which will feature selections including Sleigh Ride!, The Christmas Song, excerpts from The Nutcracker, O Holy Night and a variety of Christmas carols to usher in the holiday season.

The Bluff City Woodwind Quintet is comprised of Kelly Herrman, flute; Drew Spencer-Bell, oboe; Garrett Nichols, clarinet; Georg Hranov, horn; and Leah Cripps, bassoon, all graduate music students at University of Memphis.

"This Christmas concert is Epiphany’s gift to Collierville and the surrounding communities. It’s our sincere hope that folks can pause from the holiday frenzy and open their hearts to the season’s most beautiful music, in a casual environment with excellent acoustics," said Epiphany’s pastor, Reverend Monica Weber.

Epiphany Lutheran Church worships every Sunday at 10 a.m. in the Agape Chapel, 1880 Wolf River Blvd. Epiphany’s Community Garden, tended by volunteers, provides over 1,000 pounds of produce annually to the Collierville Food Pantry and the Page Robbins Adult Day Center.
