Dragons fall to Devils | Collierville Independent

Collierville played neck and neck with Germantown during the first half of Friday night’s home game. However, the Red Devils outscored the Dragons 36-26 in the second half to win the rivalry game 79-67. Collierville was led by junior Brett Warner . The 6-foot-2-inch forward had 33 points in the contest. Germantown was paced by Darrell Brown and Tim Shaw, who each scored 25 points. Both teams started hot, combining for 51 points in the first period of play. Things slowed down a bit in the second quarter though, with Collierville posting 16 points to Germantown’s 17. After the half, the Dragons scored 13 points in each of the final two periods. Germantown scored 36 points during the same stretch. Collierville is now 13-8 on the season and scheduled to play at Houston (19-3) on Friday night. The Dragons fell to the Mustangs 75-72 earlier this month at home. Led by junior guard Marlon Hunter, Houston is coming off a 27-point victory over Wooddale.
