Decades of Service

Collierville Mayor Stan Joyner was recognized last week for serving 20 years as an elected official for the town. Joyner first became an alderman on June 29, 1999, then was elected mayor in 2008 where he currently presides.

“Before he was elected to office, Mayor Joyner spent years of service on the Planning Commission, starting in 1987,†said Town Administrator James Lewellen. “He is truly dedicated to the Town of Collierville and it is an honor to have him as our Mayor.â€

Joyner was presented with a plaque at the Town Hall reception where fellow board members, town employees, and friends and family shared cake and appreciation for the mayor’s service to the town.
