Crafford named new principal at Crosswind, Lampkins to retire | Collierville Independent

Collierville Schools has named Dr. Andre Crafford the new principal of Crosswind Elementary School.

Crafford, who is currently the elementary supervisor in the Department of Curriculum and Accountability, will begin serving as principal in July 1.

Current Principal Kim Lampkins will be retiring on June 30 after serving the school since it opened in 1993.

“Andre is a dynamic leader,” said Superintendent John Aitken. “She understands the needs of our students and supports the educational goals set by the teachers and parents at Crosswind.”

Crafford has worked in a variety of roles in Shelby County Schools, including serving as a library media specialist, classroom teacher and elementary education supervisor.
