Collierville’s Kroger to reopen

Town officials and Kroger leaders announced on Friday, Nov. 5 that the Kroger on New Byhalia Road will reopen to the public at 9 a.m. on Nov. 10.

Mayor Stan Joyner helped host a press conference on Friday and welcomed attendees and thanked Kroger for expediting the remodeling process.

“This is an exciting morning for the town of Collierville because this is just another step in the recovery process for the town as we move on from the tragic events that happened,” said Joyner.

The store has remained closed since Sept. 23, when one woman was killed and more than a dozen others were shot by gunman UK Thang, who took his own life in the store.
