Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with
Orgill, Inc. officials announced on Thursday the company will build a new world headquarters in Collierville.
Orgill Inc, a company with a long history in Memphis, will build its new world headquarters in Collierville to the
tune of a $21 million investment. The site of the new Orgill Inc. headquarters will be located on the east side of
Houston Levee Road between Poplar and Bailey Station Road. The new headquarter facility will accommodate
115 new jobs the company will create with salaries averaging $65,000. The current 300 employees will also
relocate to Collierville.
Founded in Memphis in 1847, Orgill distributes hardware and home improvement products to customers in all 50
states, 10 Canadian provinces and over 50 countries throughout the world. The world headquarters provides
support to its six North American distribution centers and manages all business activities that extend beyond
physical distribution.
“We want to thank Orgill for its new investment in West Tennessee and its continued commitment to our state’s
dedicated workforce,” Haslam said. “It says a lot that Orgill is building a new world headquarters right here in our
state and creating more than 100 new jobs in Shelby County. We look forward to building upon our strong
partnership as we work toward our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
Orgill plans to begin construction on the new, approximately 100,000 square foot office building in 2016. The
company expects to move into the new facility in the fourth quarter of 2017. The Collierville Industrial
Development Board approved a 15-year tax abatement to Orgill for the development of the facility.
Local government leaders expressed their gratitude to Orgill, citing the company’s impact on the community.
“We are pleased and excited to learn that the corporate headquarters of Orgill is relocating to Collierville,”
Collierville Mayor Stan Joyner said. “Every day, Collierville is making strides of becoming a place where world
class businesses bring their dreams and build their businesses. Orgill brings a level of national prestige and
recognition that the Collierville community will welcome and embrace.”
“It is great to see our existing companies prosper and expand,” Shelby County Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
said. “Orgill has had a strong business presence in our community for many years, and we all salute them for their
dedication and commitment to Shelby County.”
