Valedictorian
Gautham Harichand Nair is the Valedictorian of the senior class of 638 students and has earned a a 4.75 grade-point average. He has taken and passed 11 AP and 13 Honors courses for high school credit and is currently enrolled in 7 AP courses.

Aside from academics, Gautham has achieved the title of second-degree black belt. He is also passionate about soccer. Gautham started playing soccer in second grade and went on to join a competitive team in fourth grade. During his time as a competitive soccer player, he has played for such teams as Lobos Rush and Cougars and United Soccer. Additionally, he has received several medals in state level matches and mens league tournaments/matches.

Gautham’s leadership qualities have been shown in his participation and leadership in various clubs. He is the president of the Collierville High School Freshman Mentor Program and an active member of school chapters of Key Club, Honor Academy, Rho Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta, and Cum Laude Society. Moreover, he is a member of the National Honor and Science Societies.
He serves as President and Director of Volunteering for the Indian Association of Memphis Youth Committee, Co-founder and Director of Research for the MediService Club. One of his most recent acts of service involves becoming an Eagle Scout.

His Eagle Scout project involved building a gazebo for a local church in which he spent several months planning, recruiting other scouts, and filing and obtaining a Town of Collierville permit. The project ultimately took 200-man hours to complete.

Even after earning his Eagle Scout rank, Gautham is still an active troop guide, patrol leader, and quarter master with troops 99 and 64. When Gautham isn’t being a scholar, athlete, or serving his community, he can be found working at Rays Technical Solutions, Inc.

Salutatorian

Angelina Kim Perera is the Salutatorian of her senior class of 638 students and has earned a 4.73 grade-point average.

She has taken and passed 10 AP and 12 Honors courses for high school credit and is currently enrolled in 3 AP and 3 Dual Enrollment courses.

Angelina was born Vietnamese and Spanish, so she has a proficiency in both languages. she volunteers with Key Club, Youth Leadership Collierville, the Buddhist Temple, Hope Church, the Collierville Soup Kitchen, American Heart Association, Best Buddies, and co-founded a club at CHS called, MediService.

She also serves as a CHS freshman mentor. Moreover, she is an active member of Unicef Club, National Honor Society, Beta Club, National Science Honor Society, Rho Kappa, and the CHS ACT 30 and Above Club. Angelina enjoys painting, working out, and music.
