A prayer service is being held for a local church leader who passed away from complications from COVID-19.
Collierville United Methodist Church released the following:
It is with a heavy heart that we share that Rev. David Atkinson passed away this morning due to complications from his battle with COVID-19.
We will gather for a service of prayer tomorrow night, Thursday, April 8 in the Poplar Sanctuary at 6:30pm (Livestream at colliervilleumc.org/watch).
We hope you will join us in prayer for his wife Susan, his sons Christopher, Stephen, and John Michael, and the rest of his family as we all grieve this tremendous loss.
Funeral arrangements are unknown at this time, but we will share them once they have been set.
