Santa Arrives at the Square

Get a jump start on that free picture with Santa by visiting the gazebo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Collierville Town Square. Bring our own camera or phone.

Dec. 9

Holiday Lighting Contest

Decorate your home for a chance to win the Holiday Lighting Contest from the Town Beautiful Commission. Entry forms and application details are available on collierville.com. The last day to enter is Dec. 9, and judging will be held on 1Dec. 11-12.

Dec. 1

Christmas Tree Lighting

Hot chocolate will be served by the Town of Collierville Mayor and Board of Aldermen starting at 5:30 p.m., entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and the Christmas Tree Lighting and arrival of Santa will be at 7 p.m. Don’t forget your lawn chairs and cameras but leave your pets at home.

Dec. 4

39th Annual Christmas Parade

Starting at 7 p.m., the parade will travel north down Byhalia Road starting at Market Boulevard to Frank Road. Residents are encouraged to find a spot early along Byhalia Road, as they fill up fast.

Dec. 5

Santa and Carriage Rides on the Square

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit Santa on the gazebo for a photo and enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides around the Square. Both activities are free. Be sure to bring your camera.

Dec. 12

Home Tour and Gift Gazebo

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. visit five featured Christmas homes with the Collierville Contemporary Club’s annual Christmas in Collierville Home Tour. A shuttle service will be provided at the corner of College and Walnut.

The Gift Gazebo will be located at the Morton Museum of Collierville History, 196 N. Main; deposit home tour tickets at the Morton Museum on the day of the event to register for a $50 door prize given at 4 p.m.

Advance tickets are on sale at various locations and will be available for purchase the day of the event. Visit ccc1936.org to view a list of locations to purchase tickets and for further details about the event.

Dec. 12

Santa, Carriage Rides and Carolers on the Square

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit Santa on the gazebo for a photo, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides around the Square and listen to carolers dressed in Victorian-style attire singing your favorite holiday carols. All activities are free, and don’t forget your camera.

Dec. 5-12

Christmas Performances at the Harrell Theatre – A Christmas Story the Musical

The iconic Christmas classic turned musical is a must-see this holiday season. Shows will be held at the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre, 440 W. Powell Rd. on these days and times: Dec. 5 at 2:30 and 7 p.m., Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m., Dec. 11 at 7 p.m., Dec. 12 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Dec. 13 at 2:30 p.m.

Dec. 19-20

The Collierville Ballet Presents the Nutcracker

On Dec. 19 at 2:30 and 7 p.m. and Dec. 20 at 2:30 p.m. the Collierville Ballet is presenting a full-length Nutcracker on stage at Harrell Theatre.
